The silver mini-XLR cable is the 1m - 5m cable.
The black mini-XLR cable is the 1.5m - 5m cable.
The 0.6m cable is for use with wireless systems and is mini XLR to 1/4inch.
We have limited stock of the metal black connectors, after we sell out of those we will have the silver xlr connectors sent with long cables. The quality of both cables is equal; the shorter cable is easier to manage, as more of the cable is curled up. We will try and provide more options for the cable as we move forward.
If you wanted to have your own audio cable made, the headphones use a balanced two wire connection method, pins 2 and 3 on the mini-XLR to T & R on the TRS connector, S is left floating as in all balanced audio connections.
Note for GPX-6000 users, we have found that audio direct from the detector is very low on these headphones and may require a booster/amp.
While direct connecting to your metal-detector and or booster/amplifier is best for getting the most information available without any losses over wireless systems. We understand that plugging these headphones into a wireless receiver is probably more convenient for most. With the above information you can have custom cables made to suit your needs and or you can contact us to make you a custom cable; however, we will need payment up front and will cost you extra in time and parts. We have made custom cables for people before, most are still sitting on the shelf... never collected or paid for...
