Wanting to upgrade my GP Extreme
« on: October 28, 2016, 01:20:22 pm »
Hi Woody,
Last time I talked with you was several years ago. I bought a GP Extreme, and now finally would like to have you install your upgrades.
I took a trip to northern California a while back and had my detector shipped out there. Everything was marked fragile and the control box itself was well padded, but unfortunately the handle on the unit was damaged. It was a Gold button for ground balancing from the handle.

I would like to have the unit upgraded, and was wondering if you could install a ground balancing handle, or perhaps make it so that I could use a handle with a switch/button on it for easier ground balancing.
If I had my choice, I'd have you install it.
I plan on buying a pelican case this time, and perhaps have it also in a box for shipping international.
Lastly, what would be the best payment option, would that be after you receive the unit and have a chance to look it over.
Your thoughts.
Best Regards,
Jud Wulff

Hi,

I can add the tracking socket, if you want the handle with the button with cable it is cheaper to buy from the Chinese, they make copies of everything.. Look up the name Ocean Lau  with metal detector and that is where you can get some bits and pieces.  Just wrap the detector in bubble wrap and put it in a double layer cardboard box.

Hi,
I had installed a socket when I installed the "Gold Button", but would prefer that you replace it, professionally done.  I tried looking for Ocean Lau, but didn't come across anything, but I did see Minelab handles on E-bay.

I had tried calling but could not get through, from the U.S., the number is 0116103534009, right? Or where did I go wrong?

Do I send the detector and wait for a reply for the exact amount due, or sent payment right away, and send additional funds if needed?
And what is the best way to send payment.

I'd really like to send the detector in a professional hard case since I had such bad luck with shipping items arriving damaged. And with going half way around the World!!!!  I'd hate for something to go wrong.
I live in North Central U.S. ( Wisconsin ), any idea what shipping charges would be, I have no idea, just asking for a guess.
Thanks again Woody Poo Poo.

Hi Woody,
I'm sending the detector and would like the full upgrade.
Also please add a socket for using a GPX handle with Quick-Track button.
I had installed one, but would like it done professionally by you.
I have off your website the info on which settings would work the best.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks Woody,

Respectfully,

Hi Woody,
Checking to see if you received my GP Extreme.
As far as the tracking info I have the detector was delivered on Jan 17th.
I just want to make sure it made it to you, since the information I have just simply states that it was delivered.
But not where.
No rush on the detector.
Just want to make sure it got delivered and in one piece :)
Thanks Woody.
