General Discussion / Looking for Woody build info on article in gold gem treasure
« Last post by digdeeper on April 04, 2019, 10:32:31 am »
Trying to track down this info for a friend, apparently Woody wrote an article in gold gem and treasure about a project that converts the audio out to a vibrator for deaf people and the article said the build info is on the website but cannot seem to find it, I have not seen the gold gem and treasure article   to see what its all about so its a bit iffy, but any info appreciated thanks

I agree with what Shep says.  Learn the detector in its stock form first and then have it modded.  I just got mine back from having Woody’s mods done.  Unfortunately it’s done nothing but snow and rain here since and I have not been able to try it out.  I have however had two other detectors modified by Woody and those mods improved those detectors.

I would really suggest running the 5000 stock for 6 months or so, or long enough to kind of learn it. Then definitely have it modded by Woody. That way you will really appreciate his work.

Hey all,

Very new to gold hunting ,I have bought  a gpx 500 second hand with ten hours on her and have a few extra aftermarket coils. I have not use her yet and have owned her for 2 years was wondering if I should mod her first as I have read some great reports about woodies changes .
