Can a GPX Series detector perform any better than a GPZ or SDC ?

Well if anyone would like look for them selves 5k vs 'old model' 4500 on deep big gold, you can find the video under Budwhiskers on you tube. I wish i had the older 45 now not the new one.

Is the new one not as deep as the old one?  Imagine walking over 50 ounce nugget and not hearing it..

I think the new 45 is identical to the 5k just no fg! Just my opinion tho im no expert, it balances fast like the 5k and just as smooth. So i cant imagine the two 45's are the same machine with identical components internally.

Open it up and find the 4 small tubular resistor on the bottom of the board near the coil connector 2 will be 10 ohms and the other 2 will be 330 or 470 ohms. 330 5000    470 4500   or get an oscilloscope and compare the signal voltage on pin 3 on either opamp (near the coil connector) and compare to the output level on pin 6.   33 times = 5000 47 times = 4500
