Woody is the latest mod a result from findings on this testing?

17
And to add Wes's question. What cost are we looking at for the already modded 4500 and 5000's?

18" Round Nugget Finder has been my fav coil for a number of years. This year I have been using the Evolution 17"x13" and still getting use to it. A heavier coil than my Nugget Finder and is very stable with the modded 4500. Not seeing a lot of difference in depth but I have faith and will keep working with it.

Hi Woody,

Is there anything in the pipeline for the SD units or are they at their limit?

Hi Joeboy,

I also use maps in conjunction with Google Earth which allows many miles of research before leaving the house. I have so many pins and images marking areas of interest it takes Google Earth ages to boot up.

Woody I have one with the modded 4500 and it is very stable.

Hi Shep, the front end gain control is another mod. The three switch settings on the front cover is an original mod which I have on my SD2100. The latest mods are the front end gain which increases sensitivity of your coil and the control is placed on the front. And the second is the variable frequency mod adjusted at the rear and I have these on my 4500.

Hi all,

Woody, just a short note to say the variable frequency mod has made a huge difference to my 4500 in the field in regard to stability. I headed to familiar ground that I knew would normally need some re-tuning as I moved around. What I found however was unit just hummed away all day except of course when picking up a target. I could even crank up the front end gain and the back RX gain a little and still maintain stability.

I've just picked up the new Nugget Finder Evolution Coil which should compliment the set up further so hope to get back out there soon.

Hi Woody,

Checked out the vid and impressive results. Love to see the next vid showing this mod with a front end gain and the effects with a mono and a double d.
