Title: Mods for the 5000

  Hey Woody, just wondering if there are any additional mods for the GPX 5000 over the past 6 months or so.  Still thinking about modding my 5000 instead of spending 8 grand on a GPZ7000.

  No , no response but I’ll know in few days.  I sent it to get the variable frequency and front end gain mods and it should be back to me in few days.

  It arrived this afternoon and I did some air tests using an 11 inch Detech ultra spiral wound mono indoors.  All I can say is WOW.  Super quiet.  I use to have to use cancel inside or even near the house outside.  The depth of a 1dwt was almost 12 inches.  Variable gain and variable frequency will definitely be a plus.  Soon as it stops raining I will get out in the field with it.
