It has been brought to my attention that there are certain parties who do not want other prospectors to have their detectors modified. They are either commercial entity's or other prospectors not wanting others to get the Gold they missed. Do your own research and read between the lines. Enough said.
The Minelab SD2000 metal detector was responsible for creating a huge Gold rush in Australia after the previous electronic detector rushes using VLF detector technology. Minelab have released a swag of new detectors since the release of the SD2000 We do mods on the older detectors to make them perform better in Depth, Sensitivity and reduced ground noise.Extensive testing at test sites located in central Victoria has proven many times that a moddified detector can beat the original in outright depth on Gold Nuggets. Now after many months testing out new moddifications we now have mods for the SD2100 and SD2200. We now have proven mods for the Extreme and 3000 and 3500 series detectors.
We carry out various modifications on the SD series of detectors, modifications cost anywhere between $250 for the Gain Modification up to $350 for mods done to the GP Extreme 3000 and 3500. Modifications depending on the model involves the replacement of the input stage components to give far more depth and sensitivity, modification of the power stage to drive the coil with more power, time constant changes to the intergrator circuit, gain set changes to various filtering sub circuits, variable gain added to CH1 and CH2. Audio target response mods to give a much clearer signal, transmitter component upgrades to increase depth and a low frequency modification to allow for the detection of large Gold Nuggets at extreme depth on the 2000 series.
